Frequently Asked Questions:

  1. Do I need to book ahead?

    • It is strongly recommended as we often sell out our daily lessons. Book now to ensure you get the support you need.

  2. What’s a good age to start lessons?

    • You know your child best, but we recommend starting private lessons as early as 4 years old. At that age they likely won’t be going out on their own after the lesson but will have a blast and get a great head-start for future years. If you’re looking to book your child in a group lesson the minimum age for group lessons is 6 for downhill skiing and 8 for snowboarding. HOT TIP: Book an hour of tubing after the lesson to help ensure you end things on a positive note! Our smallest boot rental size for skiing is 8 and for snowboarding is 1.

  3. What’s easier, skiing or snowboarding?

    • Most people find skiing an easier sport to learn first as it is quite similar to ice skating and doesn’t require as much core muscle strength as snowboarding.

  4. Do you have a chairlift?

    • No, but our Chickadee Beginner Handle-Tow is fantastic to learn on. The gentle sloping hill provides an excellent venue for people to learn safely.

  5. As a parent/guardian, can I watch the lesson?

    • You are welcome to watch the lesson and take pictures from a distance but we strongly recommend that parents give instructors and students space in the lesson so there are minimal distractions for teaching.
